ATIBA Technology Develops NEPA
Networkers Executive Group Website - November, 2010
At the November 11th Executive Group meeting T.J. Finley of Glass Recycling
Technologies suggested that we promote our group with a web presence - within 2
weeks of that suggestion Anita Rose, President of ATIBA Technology Solutions had
designed, developed and published a website for the group.
The site will be enhanced as additional content is provided by group members.
ATIBA has volunteered to maintain the site, and Jerry Lisman, CEO of Lisman
Holdings and NatMark Internet Services volunteered to obtain the domain name and
host the site.
This is a prime example of what can be accomplished when great minds work
together! It's called TAKING ACTION!

NEPA Networkers Executive Group (a subgroup
of NEPA Networkers) - November, 2010
The NEPA Networkers Executive Group (a LinkedIn Group)
held it's most recent
meeting on Thursday, November 11th. Special thanks to Bob Courtright of
Courtright and Associates, a local recruiting company, for organizing the
meeting. The meeting was hosted by Jerry Donahue, owner of the Southern Union
Building and Marc Gonzalez of Site2, a tenant in that building. As always, the
meeting provided great thoughts and ideas on how to bring additional commerce to
northeast PA.
The group in attendance agreed that our group's mission, vision and goals
would benefit from the implementation of a website; within 24 hours of that
meeting Jerry Lisman of Lisman Holdings had obtained the domain name
http://www.nepaexecutives.net and
has volunteered to host the website for the group.
Anita Rose of ATIBA Technology Solutions volunteered to act as project
manager for this initiative, develop the group website and create a printable
list of all NEPA Networkers Executive Group members. The core team currently
involved in the planning of the website will be soliciting assistance from other
members regarding website content.

March 2010 - PAeHI - Pennsylvania e-Health
Initiative In October, 2009 ATIBA joined the Pennsylvania eHealth
Initiative (PAeHI), an organization that encourages the development and use of
electronic medical records (EMR) in Pennsylvania along with health information
exchanges (HIE), which will ultimately tie into a national system allowing
patients and health care providers to securely access medical records regionally
and throughout the country.
As a member of PAeHI ATIBA looks forward to working with other organizations
throughout the state to promote EHR technology and the secure exchange of health
information in a manner that ultimately enhances communication and collaboration
between patients, hospitals, physicians and healthcare organizations.
ATIBA is committed to facilitating the implementation of EHR systems by
educating physicians and healthcare practices about the benefits of EHR,
government incentives that are available to eligible professionals, assisting in
the vendor selection process, managing the implementation, assisting in the
process of proving 'meaningful use', providing guidance in the development of
data security and privacy policies and procedures, and conducting periodic risk
assessments to mitigate the risk of data breaches and penalties related to
non-compliance of HIPAA regulations.
ATIBA representatives will be attending the next PAeHI meeting in Harrisburg
in mid-April, and will be attending the PHIMA/PAeHI Annual Meeting in Hershey,
PA May 10th -12th. For more information about these organizations go to:

March, 2010 - Electronic Health Records
(EHR)
HEALTHCARE
TRANSFORMATION - CONVERTING TO ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORDS
Sponsored by:
ATIBA Technology Solutions, Site2 and The Great Valley Technology Alliance
Keynote
Speaker: Anita Rose, ATIBA Technology Solutions
ATIBA Technology Solutions and Site2 would like to thank
all who attended the Healthcare Transformation – Converting to (EHR) Electronic
Health Records seminars we hosted in Scranton on February 17th.
Special thanks to Chris Haran of the Great Valley Technology Alliance for
sponsoring the seminar and providing an introduction during our afternoon
session.
Our goal was to educate physicians and local healthcare
practices regarding the benefits of converting to EHR, government incentives of
up to $44,000 and $64,000 that are available to ‘eligible professionals’ who
implement EHR and prove ‘meaningful use’ of a certified EHR system, what is
involved from an IT and business analysis standpoint and how ATIBA and Site2
could support their efforts moving forward. Based on the glowing feedback
received from surveys provided by attendees our efforts were successful and the
seminar provided great value to those who attended.
As with all government programs, there is a timeline
associated to incentive payments as well as criteria that must be met – to
receive the full incentive bonus available action must take place soon.
Selecting, implementing, using and proving meaningful use of a certified EHR
product will take most practices between 6-18 months, so it is important that
those who wish to take advantage of the government incentives begin the process.
We will keep everyone apprised of future seminars; in the
meantime feel free to contact Anita Rose of ATIBA Technology Solutions at
570-842-8144 or
arose@atibatechnolgoy.com to schedule a free information session or planning
consultation.
Thanks again to all who made our first EHR seminar a
success! |

December 2009 - Electronic Health Records (EHR)
The Federal HITECH Act is recommending that all healthcare organizations convert
to electronic health records by 2015. In order to promote that effort the
Federal Government will be providing financial incentives to qualifying
physicians and healthcare organizations that convert to EHR within a designated
timeframe. Financial incentives that will be disbursed over a 5 year period are
between $44,000 and $64,000 if physicians and healthcare practices that convert
meet all requirements.
Since many small healthcare practices do not have internal compliance or IT
departments and cannot afford full-time compliance and technology experts, ATIBA
is developing a cost-effective business model that will offer highly skilled
resources to provide on-demand services to the local healthcare community.
On-demand services for healthcare providers will include:
- Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) on-demand
- Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on-demand
- Chief Information Officer (CIO) on-demand
ATIBA, along with some local business partners, is currently developing a
strategy to educate and assist local physicians and healthcare practices
to convert to electronic health records in order to receive all financial
incentives they are qualified to receive.
We recognize that converting to EHR will be financially challenging to many
small practices; in addition to providing on-site EHR implementation services,
we are also planning to provide highly secure, HIPAA compliant hosted solutions
that will decrease the total cost of ownership.
ATIBA, along with business partners, will be conducting a seminar after the
holidays to begin the education process to local physicians and healthcare
practices. Afterwards, we will work with local healthcare practices to assess
individual requirements, select the best EHR option based on business
requirements, manage the implementation of EHR, provide user training and act as
chief compliance officer to help ensure that HIPAA compliance maintained and
provide long-term support.
Feel free to contact ATIBA directly via phone or email
info@atibatechnology.com
to ensure you are notified of the upcoming EHR seminar.

November 17, 2009 – MetroAction 2nd
Annual Go Green Business Summit
Guest Speaker: Anita Rose, ATIBA Technology Solutions
MetroAction of Northeast PA is sponsoring the second annual
Go Green Business Summit from 9 am to 2 pm on November 17th, 2009 at
Marywood University, 2300 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA. The theme of this year’s
Summit its “Putting the ECO in the ECOnomy”.
Anita Rose, President of ATIBA Technology Solutions, a
local business and I.T. consulting company that has recently developed a ‘going
green’ consulting practice, will be one of the presenters. Her presentation will
educate participants on ‘Green Office and Green I.T.’ business practices.
Going Green is fast becoming a necessity – most businesses
have not yet grasped the magnitude and speed of the ‘green wave’ that is about
to hit. Whether or not Congress passes what is known as the “Waxman-Markley Cap
and Trade” bill, other energy bills that mandate the reduction of greenhouse
gasses and force energy conservation and clean energy technologies will be
passed and will have a direct impact on the cost of doing business and overall
business sustainability.
Businesses today no longer ask “Why should we go green?”
but “How do we go green, how fast can we go green and what are the business
risks if we don’t go green?” Businesses that previously put green initiatives on
a back burner are now motivated to assess their energy consumption and the
impact their business operations have on the environment and take proactive
steps to reduce their carbon footprint.
In answer to that need, ATIBA has developed a ‘Green Zone’
framework that will help transform organizations to think green and work green –
the benefits of which will be decreased energy consumption and a decreased cost
of doing business. For additional information about ATIBA’s Transformation Green
Business Consulting, go to:
http://www.atibatechnology.com/green_transformation.
Additional information about the November 17th
“Go Green Business Summit” is provided at the MetroAction website
